The Soulfull jazz & blues Hammondorgan trio Astro Buddha Agogo from Copenhagen has played more than 100 shows in Scandinavia.
People of all ages love the band because of its extremely outgoing and hardswingin´ music that makes you smile and tapping your feet.
Everyone who loves the music of Ray Charles, Jimmy Smith, Mingus, B.B. King, Stanley Turrentine, Little Richard, James Brown... will love this band.
The music is great for everything - listening, tapping you feet, dancing, drinking alchohol, kissing, clapping, jumping and shoutning.....
The setup is Sax/flute, Hammond Organ and Drums.
In the summer of 2010 they released their debut album and has gotten amazing reviews from the biggest Danish Music Magazine, GAFFA:

The band is a very popular and frequent house-band-act at Copenhagens most legendary jazz venue, "La Fontaine"
The band often plays with guests. Normally Guitar, trumpet or percussion, and sometimes this guest is local. So if you have a local musicians that you think could fit in with the band, they are allways up for it.

Trioen Astro Buddha Agogo er sammensat er tre musikere, der har det til fælles, at de elsker lyden af Hammond orgel. Med hammond-organist Dan Hemmers fantastiske lyd, saxofonist Michael Blichers dobbelt-horn (to saxer samtidig) og trommeslager Anders Holms sprudlende spillestil er der lagt op til en unik og energifyldt koncert. Musikken spænder fra råswingende blues/jazz og soul til insiterende musik med sydamerikansk islæt. Det er musik man ikke kan sidde stille til.
